1. Application Processing Time: You should receive your passport 6 weeks after the date of application. If you requested expedited processing, you should receive your passport 2 weeks after the date of application.
2. Checking status online: You can check the status of your application online through the U.S. Department of State's secure website. You will need to provide the following information:
   • Your last name
   • Your date of birth
   • The last 4 digits of your Social Security number
3. Checking status over the phone: You can request the information by calling the National Passport Application Center.
