Repeat the paper mache process with a fresh layer of paste-coated paper strip so that it to dry as well. If it is dry, gently press each egg carefully & if it caves in, you may want to add one more layer of paper mache. If it feels as robust as you want it, the papering process is almost complete.

Pop the balloons with a needle. Fill the eggs with non-perishable candy or small toys, if you want to, or simply seal the hole with more strips of papier-mache. Cover the hole area with the same number of layers of paper mache used on the rest of the egg if the egg does not want to have a soft spot. Allow the paper mache to dry again.

Decorating Decorate each egg with layers of tissue paper, or paint them with acrylic craft colors. With the use of tissue paper, choose paper that does not bleed color.
